Thank you for booking your practical course with Capital Sailing. To make your course more enjoyable we recommend you spend time browsing the information on the links below and read the course definitions to make sure you have chosen the correct course.

RYA Competent Crew: No prior knowledge needed and we will help you all the way to become a confident, happy sailor that anyone would want as part of their crew.

RYA Day Skipper: You MUST be up to the RYA Day Skipper Theory Standard, have at least 5 days sailing experience and able to sail a boat in a triangular course.

RYA Coastal Skipper: You must be up to the RYA Day Skipper Practical Standard and we will instruct you through the RYA Coastal Skipper Syllabus.

It is sometimes difficult to judge where you are on the RYA Scheme. For the Day Skipper Course you should be able to answer most questions at Learn the lights software and be able to sail a triangular course as well as being up to Day Skipper Theory Standard. We will discuss this with you at the time of booking and we will brief and debrief using the RYA Syllabus G15 Logbooks during the week so that you know how well you are progressing. Remember sailing is a joyous and pleasurable experience and not a ticket hunt.

Take some time to look at the notes below, leave work and worries behind, pack the sun cream and sleeping bag and prepare for a great time with us.

Thank you again and enjoy yourself.
