is the largest participation
Sailing Race event in the world with over 1600
vessels usually entered.
Whether
you are an experienced sailor or new to sailing this
is THE race to participate, its popularity surpasses
itself as sailors come back year after year. The magnificent
spectacle of over 1,500 yachts heading down the Needles
and round the Isle of Wight is unforgettable.
Each year it offers new surprises, with extraordinary
yachts of all sizes and shapes battle it out for the
coveted Gold Roman Bowl and handicap prizes.
You
will be on a brand new Dehler
39 These modern 39ft racer cruisers are extremely
competitive, exciting and fun to sail. A full day
training on Friday is included to make the racing
all the more enjoyable, so you will be ready for action
on Saturday. We will moor up at Cowes after racing
for the evening, so you can relax, have dinner and
join the party! It's then a leisurely sail back to
the mainland on Sunday for 1pm.
